Samsung Announces WiFi-Only Galaxy Camera

Last year, Samsung launched its first Android powered digital camera. This device offers various connectivity options including 3G as well as 4G LTE in select markets. The Samsung Galaxy Camera was shipped with the newer Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. Today, Samsung went ahead and announced the new WiFi-only Galaxy Camera.
As the name suggest, the latest variant of Galaxy Camera won’t pack a cellular radio. You will need to find a stable Wi-Fi connection before uploading your photos to Facebook, Instagram and other social networking sites. Apart from that, there are no major changes in the specs of this device.

Samsung Galaxy Camera features a large 4.8 inch HD SLCD display, 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 21x zoom lens, Full HD (1080p) video recording and playback, GPS with A-GPS, HDMI, 8 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Google Play Store, Samsung Hub, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 1650mAh battery.
Samsung has not yet announced the price of this device. However, the price is expected to be much lower than the previously launched Galaxy Camera with 3G/4G connectivity. This handset will go on sale in the coming weeks.
